Preliminary Sequence embedded.

"http://www.youtube.com/embed/wlHCQ862K3U"After watching it back, one of the things I would change would be the location and this is due to the fact the preliminary task required to produce a piece of film in which a character opens a door, walks across a room and sits down in a chair opposite another character and exchanges two sentences of conversation. It would have been better if we had set out the plot in a classroom, in a more confided space as the audience would have had more of an opportunity to focus on the two characters rather than being outside in a large open space area where the audience would probably not focus on the character much but look at what is around them.

At the start the continuity from Fay texting to Olivia waling to the stairs can make the audience assume that Fay has contacted Olivia to come and meet her. I think it would have been better to have kept the camera on Olivia's shoes instead of getting a medium shot of her as she approaches the end of the stairs because it could have left the audience thinking who and what the character looked like then continue with the over the shoulder shot as she approaches Fay then get one of her face so the audience eventually can see what the character is like.

The 180° rule was not clear in our task and I think once Olivia had sat down with Fay, I think we should have stuck to the rule throughout the whole time the characters conveyed and Olivia's character should have spoken up a bit louder.

The storyline is clear that Olivia has fed the fish, meets up with Fay and agrees to go shopping with her. I think our story-line should have been more of a dramatic one, so Fay could have been more of controlling, harsher character who gets Olivia to do her errands. As the preliminary task required an understanding of continuity, I think we managed to achieve that quite well
